Shalom y'all! My name is Ortal Atar (עטר), and I'm the designer behind Ateret Designs (עטרת). I chose the brand name based on my family name, which means crown, royalty, and splendor. It perfectly aligns with the Judaica products I design because there's something inherently majestic about them, and using Hebrew letters adds a sense of nobility and grandeur.

Even as a child, I had a passion for design and enjoyed creating anything I could. As I grew up, I entered the world of design in 2017, focusing initially on jewelry after studying goldsmithing and jewelry design. While working with metals for jewelry, I gradually shifted my focus to designing Judaica products. I found a strong attraction to designing for the home space, particularly Judaica items that could create a warm atmosphere and infuse a Jewish essence into the home.

As a Jewish woman living in Israel, my mission is to share Jewish culture worldwide, allowing every Jewish person to incorporate a touch of Jewish art into their home decor, preserving tradition while embracing modern, serene design.
